MoU ( Memorandum of Understanding)

MoU b/w DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING, LBSITW & KSCSTE- NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLANNING AND RESEARCH CENTRE, THIRUVANANTHAPURAM.

Department of Civil Engineering, LBS Institute of Technology for Women, Thiruvananthapuram signed MoU with Kerala Highway Research Institute, Thiruvananthapuram on 06/12/2021. MoU was signed by Dr. Jayamohan J., Principal (i/c), LBSITW and Mr. Thomas John, Joint Director, KHRI. Kerala Highway Research Institute is primarily a research and training institute of the Kerala Public Works Department, located at Kariyavattom, Thiruvananthapuram and represented by the Joint Director. MoU is intended to effectively share the facilities and expertise for improving the capabilities for advanced education and research in all fields of Transportation Engineering, Geotechnical, Structural Engineering etc. MoU facilitates academic and research interactions between and amongst the faculty members/ scientist and staff of both institutions including using the library and laboratory facilities. MoU enables joint conduct of conferences, seminars, symposiums and training programs in the fields of Civil Engineering and allied areas.

LBS Institute of Technology for Women, Thiruvananthapuram signed MoU with CADBIM Centre on 14/05/2022. MoU was signed by Dr. Jayamohan J., Principal (i/c), LBSITW and Mr. Rijo K. John, Project Manager, COMMANDtech. CADBIM CENTRE, is the Training & Placement division of COMMANDtech, which is an MNC headquartered in UK, having branches in India and the Middle East. COMMANDtech is professional in Engineering Design, Drafting and BIM Solutions and has been doing prestigious projects in the AEC industry globally (USA, UK, Europe, Middle East & India) for the last two decades. CADBIM Centre is targeting a placement of 10000 Engineers in AEC and Infrastructural Domain. In order to achieve the target, CADBIM Centre is making strategic alliances with Engineering Colleges. By introducing a membership program, CADBIM Centre is providing Internship, placement support & training and skill development to the engineering students. All services coming under CADBIM membership will be available for five years. CADBIM Centre will train the membership card holders on emerging technologies in order to bridge the skill gap and make them industry ready. An in-depth training of Advanced AutoCAD /Revit Software focuses on the current industrial requirements. Internship will be provided to put classroom knowledge to practice. Career counselling will be provided to help students choose an appropriate career based on their interests, skills and abilities. Communication skill enhancement session, Mock interview session, CV Preparation classes, seminars and interactive sessions with industrial experts will be provided for soft skill enhancement, which will fetch the participants a promising career. Placement training, Placement support, yearly two workshops, event participation and activity point enhancement are the other benefits for the students.
