Career Guidance and Placement Unit, LBSITW

LBS Insti­tute of Tech­nol­ogy for Women takes great pride in the achievements and academic success of our students in placements. The institute sets a new milestone in campus placements in the past few years. The efforts of the CGPU Team, combined with the outstanding academic system has contributed significantly in making LBS Insti­tute of Tech­nol­ogy for Women one of the preferred destinations for recruiters as well as students.

On an average, our students receive around 300 job offers from various companies every year and the recruitments are still going on. The average salary offered is around 4.5 Lakhs per annum and the highest being 12 lakhs per annum. Around 50 companies visit the campus for recruiting young talents every year. The placements statistics of LBSITW stands best among the engineering institutes in the state. The placement graphs and the preference by recruiting partners are evident by the ever growing acceptance of LBSITW graduates in various industries. This shows the institute’s excellence in education and transforming young mind’s dream to a reality.

More than 90% of the students will get placed in reputed Multi-National Companies every year. Some of our major recruiters include Target Corporation, Amazon, Microsoft, Infosys, Cognizant, Larsen & Toubro, Ericsson, IBM, Wipro, Broadcom, Nokia, Accenture, Capgemini, InApp, Tata Elxsi, , Envestnet, Jaro Education, MindTree, Speridian, Ernest & Young, Quest Global, UST Global, Zia Semiconductor etc. Around 50 companies used to visit the campus every year for campus recruitments. CGPU maintains recruitment partnership with companies working in the core engineering domains like L&T Technology Services, L&T Ltd., Zia Semiconductors, Nokia etc giving excellent opportunities for the students to get placed in their technical areas of interest.

In the academic year 2019-20, with an intake of 360 students in the final year, around 350 job offers were received from various companies till March 2020 and the recruitments are still going on. The average salary offered is around 4.5 Lakhs per annum and the highest being 12 lakhs per annum. Around 50 companies visit the campus for recruiting young talents every year. The placement cell of the institute continually liaisons with industry, R&D organizations, and management organizations, with the foresight of Training, Career-Guidance, Internships and Campus Placements. The Placement Cell works closely in line with the policies of the Institute and tries to coherently match the interests of students with an appropriate job profile. The Institute helps each student in exploring placement opportunities by inviting various companies for campus recruitment of students who are in the final year of the programme and are likely to graduate at the end of the academic year.

The Career Guidance and Placement Unit also invite recruiting partners to extend internship opportunities to our pre-final year students. In the academic year 2019-20, fourteen pre-final year students received two months internship offers in the areas of IOT, Embedded system design and Cyber Security. Our students used to get an opportunity to work with live industry projects which consistently makes our student employable and industry ready.

CGPU prepares our students to become top quality professionals with strong human values through a rigorous training module which starts from the first year of their course. Weekly schedule for technical and interpersonal skill development training and continuous online assessments helps to improve the overall quality of the students. LBSITW CGPU opens a platform to provide an educational ecosystem to equip young aspirants with skills, knowledge and ethical values for a successful career in the technology driven world.
