Welcome to the Department of Physics, LBS Institute of Technology for Women, Thiruvananthapuram. The department offers Engineering Physics program to all B Tech students of the institution. This program is intended to give students a solid background in the fundamentals of Physics, develop scientific attitudes and to enable the students to correlate the concepts of Physics with their core programs.
The department has a well equipped laboratory for imparting practical knowledge to the students to co-relate with their theoretical studies.
There are students with high learning ability who can grasp quite fast and learn better but there are students who needs frequent guidance and support. The department provides remedial classes on regular basis considering the students come from different family backgrounds with different living standards ability to grasp physics. In this way the department give more help and support for the slow learners and pay individual attention to the low achiever in the class.
