Definition of Ragging

“Any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any other student, indulging in rowdy or indisciplined activities which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student or asking the students to do any act or perform something which such student will not do in the ordinary course and which has the effect of causing or generating a scene of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or junior student.” An anti-Ragging squad has been constituted to maintain the campus ragging-free and to make the students aware of consequences of ragging.

Ragging is Pun­ish­able

Rag­ging is pun­ish­able: Rag­ging is a cog­niz­able and pun­ish­able offence under sec­tion 4 of Ker­ala pro­hi­bi­tion of rag­ging act 1998 and any­one indulging in rag­ging is liable to be pun­ished, even be expelled from the hos­tel /​col­lege as decided by the author­ity. To pre­vent rag­ging in this cam­pus an anti-​ragging com­mit­tee is con­sti­tuted. In case of any rag­ging directly con­tact in per­son or over phone any of the mem­bers in the list.
