Process control lab is equipped with state of the art equipment essential to equip the students with the basics of process control systems. The process stations which are industrial prototypes lends the students a hand on experience in controlling various processes. The lab also goes a long way in helping the students cement their theoretical concepts with various software tools

This lab is offered to B.Tech, ECE students and concentrates on introducing the advances in communications. This lab is well equipped with all the microwave devices and optical devices. The Laboratory conducts practical sessions to enable the students to implement their theoretical knowledge and observe the practical results, following outcome based education.

The Project Laboratory offers the students, the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience with state-of-the-art environment where students become proficient in both the physical and creative skills needed in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The Project Laboratory has a key role in promoting practical learning experience, a place where they develop creative proposals, and execute their final projects. The objective of this laboratory is to provide the infrastructure for conducting the regular lab for M-Tech (Image Processing Lab) and Mini & Major project works for the B-Tech and M-Tech Programs. The lab is equipped with state of the art servers, desktops and software (MATLAB, ORCAD, Xilinx etc.). Also this lab is used for conducting project presentation and project exam of final year students.

  1. Representation of Grayscale and colour images
  2. Image transformations: Grey level transformations, Histogram equalization and modifications, Geometric transformations, affine transformations.
  3. Image Transforms: DFT, DCT, KLT, etc.
  4. Image filtering: Fourier descriptors, Linear and non-linear filtering operations in spatial and transform domain, Image convolutions, Separable convolutions, Sub-sampling and interpolation as convolution operations
  5. Edge detection: Edge enhancement by differentiation, Effect of noise, edge detection and canny implementation, Edge detector performance evaluation.
  6. Segmentation: Thresholding algorithms, Performance evaluation and ROC analysis Connected components labelling, Region growing and region adjacency graph (RAG), Split and merge algorithms.
  7. Morphological operation: Erode and dilate as max and min operators on binary images, open, close, thinning and other transforms.
  8. Computed Tomography: Implementation of FBP and CBP algorithms for parallel beam tomography.
